American Hard Maple Blocks - "the real deal"
The kits below are recommended by a range of authors addressing the problem of how many and what types of blocks should be stocked in a classroom of about 14 children. These include guides by Stanton and Weisberg of the Bank Street School (Play Equipment for the Nursery School), Wellhousen & Kieff (A Constructivist Approach to Block Play in Early Childhood) and Hirsch(The Block Book). These author's books on Block Play stress certain activities utilizing blocks in Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms settings. A few of our corresponding blocks differ in minor respects from those suggested but are functionally the same. We sell both whole kits and half kits.
