The TOD Kits are suitably large for children about 4. It depends a lot on the child. At this age, children begin to make things, though the connection may be a bit mysterious. They may also spend a lot of time matching the block footprints and struggling with lining the blocks up perfectly. A milestone is making a box - that is, a structure with four sides and a top - also learning to balance one piece on another. They may be able to identify two different triangles by that name - but they may not be able to tell you why this is so. It is satisfying to spend time with your children, showing them what to do with the blocks, and enjoying their progress in coordination.Ages 3+
