American Hard Maple - The Real Deal
The BAB A12 Kit is a little
bigger than our INF Kit, but it
is large enough for children
around 3 years. At this age,
children are first stacking up
blocks and enjoy moving them
around on the floor. While they
can't build buildings yet, they
can stack blocks and enjoy
seeing them fall over. What is
important is for children to
learn dexterity, and eventually,
to learn to stack pieces on top
another and to make walls. This
set will be adequate until a
child is about three and a half,
but after that will need to be
supplemented by more pieces. It
is satisfying to spend time with
your children, showing them what
to do with the blocks, and
enjoying their progress in
"A" Kits and "B" kits are the
same size (weight/volume).
The "A" kits have more detailed
pieces and more pieces overall.
The "B" kits are somewhat cruder
but have more large pieces
and fewer pieces overall.
The "B" sets are better for
those primarily interested in
the basic shapes.
Our Premium Blocks have been
selected for their tan, uniform
Color. Maple Firsts and
Seconds may have streaks and
spots caused by natural enzymes.
There is no other difference.
